“Virgīnija” ir atmiņu horeogrāfija kas dzimst no dziļi personīga jautājuma: kā atcerēties kādu, ko nekad neesi sastapis?
Izrāde top krustpunktā starp ģimenes arhīva materiāliem, mutvārdu atmiņu stāstiem un vajadzību atšķetināt dzimtas noslēpumu par savu aizgājušo vecmāmiņu. Tieši nezināmās, "pelēkās” zonas kļūst par mākslinieciskās radīšanas telpu, kurā vienlīdz svarīgu lomu spēlē objekti, skaņa un gaisma dialogā ar ķermenisku klātbūtni. Kustība šeit kalpo par veidu, kā izzināt, atcerēties un rekonstruēt — arī to, ko mēs nekad neesam personīgi piedzīvojuši.

Duration: 50 min"Virginia" is a choreography of memory born from a deeply personal question: How do you remember someone you have never met?
The performance emerges at the intersection of family archive materials, oral memory narratives, and a need to unravel a family secret surrounding the artist’s late grandmother. These unknown, “grey” areas become a space for artistic creation, where objects, sound, and light play an equally important role alongside physical presence. Movement serves here as a means of exploring, remembering, and reconstructing—even that which we have never personally experienced.Master’s thesis project of the National School of Performing Arts at the Latvian Academy of Culture, within the Master's programme “Audiovisual and Performing Arts.”
